Sometimes a human and a dog are just meant for each other. Meet twelve-year-old Quinn and his new best pal, a pit bull mix named Logan.

Quinn’s mom began the search for a dog with three legs after Quinn asked for one after he awoke from surgery. The surgery was to amputate his leg and hip due to cancer.

After searching for quite a while, his mom finally found a shelter in Sacramento that had the perfect companion. Logan was a stray and was rescued. He had a broken leg which had to be amputated.

When she and Quinn went to get Logan, someone else had reserved him. As luck would have it, the person that had originally wanted him changed her mind.

It was an emotional and heartwarming introduction.

Quinn is now cancer free and Logan has recovered from surgery. They have a special love and unique bond because of the challenges they both have overcome.
