Countless dogs all over the world live most of their lives as strays. Some of these dogs have been abandoned by their owners while others were born as strays. Thankfully, animal rescue organizations exist, which rescue these dogs and find forever homes for them.

Takis Shelter is one of the most famous animal rescue organizations in the world. Founded by Theoklitos Proestakis, Takis Shelter has grown so much that they’re partnering with other animal rescue organizations to help the dogs they rescue get adopted. Unfortunately, some dogs take some time to get adopted.

A dog named Max is an eight-year-old dog that lived seven years at Takis Shelter. This means that Max has known nothing else his entire life than life at the shelter. Max is such a wonderful dog who wants nothing but love from the people he meets.

Despite not being able to get adopted, Max remains loving and would always ask for cuddles and kisses from the people he meets. However, after seven years of waiting, Max finally got someone’s attention and he was finally getting adopted. A Finland-based animal rescue organization called Pawesome Rescue got in touch with Takis Shelter and the founder of Pawesome Rescue expressed her interest in adopting Max.

Max’s new mom slowly integrated Max into life in a home. After letting Max spend a few days with her, Max was finally ready to go to his new home in Finland. Theoklitos was also very excited for Max and he’s so happy that the dog he took care of in his shelter for seven years was finally going to his forever home.

Max did take a few days to get used to his new home. He also experienced his first snow and he absolutely loved it. Max also fell in love with his new sister named Mumia, who’s also a rescue dog. Here’s a heartwarming video featuring Max finally finding a loving forever home after so many years of waiting.
