Storytelling has lots of benefits for children. Not only it helps promote brain development and a feeling of relaxation and well-being, but it also encourages active participation, creativity, and imagination and increases the child’s willingness to communicate. That is why parents must find time to have storytelling sessions, especially during their child’s first three years of life.
However, storytelling is no longer just for children—it can also be for dogs. Just like kids, puppies also love gathering around during storytelling sessions. They are good listeners, so they are the best creatures to share your tales with.
In Redlands, California, a litter of four-week-old Golden Retrievers was caught in a video while gathering around for a storytelling session with a purple toy dragon named Dalton. Dalton recites five classic story tales to his doggie audience. These include famous stories like The Ugly Duckling, Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty, and Jack and the Beanstalk.
During this session, Dalton was sharing the Jack and the Beanstalk story. The cute little pups were mesmerized by the purple dragon as he swayed his head and moved his mouth to recite the tale. He got a book on his hand that changes color, captivating the listeners even more.
True enough, one puppy decided to approach Dalton to take a closer look at his book. While some of the Golden Retrievers were moving around to hear the story, others stayed glued to their position. They were like a bunch of kids gathered around their mother during their storytelling time.
Indeed, nothing is cuter than these little pups delving into the world of tales with the help of their favorite purple dragon. Those who’ve seen the video couldn’t help but smile at these adorable puppies and the witty storytelling dragon. Talk about cuteness overload in just one video.
