Our furry friends get excited when they see you preparing their leash. They already know that you are going for a walk. Dogs love going outside, smelling the grass, walking with you, and seeing other humans and pets as well.
This cute German Sheperd-Husky mix named Chico was so bored that he went out for a walk without his hooman, Edward Alvarado. The one-year-old pup escaped from their house in the middle of the night while his owner was asleep. What happened next was hilarious!
As Chico was freely exploring the city, he went inside the Odessa Police Department. The staff was surprised to have a furry visitor at 3:30 in the morning. The doggo seemed very friendly and was smiling at everyone at the station.
The police took pictures of Chico and posted it online. The adorable encounter went viral overnight! The pup’s pictures went around and even caught the attention of Edward’s nephew. He received a message asking if the dog was Chico.
Edward told his nephew that the dog in the photos indeed looked like Chico. So he went outside to check. To his surprise, Chico was there at home. However, he noticed that their gate was opened and looked like it had some chew marks from the pooch.
Edward and Chico went back to the Odessa Police Department to give the canine’s friends a visit. The people were there were excited to see Chico again. They also confirmed that when the dog first came to the station, he said hello to everyone and went back home after a while.
Chico’s hooman said that they first adopted the pupper to have him as a guard dog at his dad’s store, but he was too friendly and sweet to be one. The pup just wanted to play and wouldn’t take anything seriously. So Edward kept Chico as his pet instead and became his best friend.
