Doggos love eating. This is a universal truth that nobody could ever contest. Our dogs’ love affair with food gives them a lot of character, but sometimes it causes them to misbehave. If you have a dog with you at home, then you already know what we’re talking about.

Many puppers out there, especially those who aren’t trained well, tend to beg for table food while we eat. But their affinity to table food isn’t always a bad thing. Table food has been the reason why so many stray dogs have been rescued off the streets.

Recently, a stray pooch was lured in by table food when he was spotted by Ohio State Highway Patrol officers on I-75. The pup was darting around the freeway, toying with speeding cars. Sergeant Jeff Kramer responded to the 911 call regarding this daring doggo.

It was freezing that day and Sgt. Kramer thought that capturing this pupper was going to be an easy task. But his wishful thinking was the exact opposite of what transpired. Sgt. Kramer had to chase his pooch for two hours on foot! One can say that this was enough to keep him warm.

Cold and tired, Sgt. Kramer thought of a way to lure this pooch in. The officer placed his packed lunch on the snow at the side of the road and the pupper took that bait in a heartbeat. While the doggo was chowing down on Sgt. Kramer’s delicious lunch, he was able to place a leash around the pup’s neck.

The runaway pooch was then taken to the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center where he received medical treatment. The shelter will keep the doggo in their kennels and they are hoping that because this pup made the news, people would come forward to adopt him. We just hope that once he finds his forever home, he would stay put this time around.
