If you like dogs, then we’re sure you’ve already heard about the negative image that has been put on pit bulls. These loving pups aren’t the vicious monsters that people make them out to be. They are actually very loving doggos, just like any other dog breed out there.

Remember, it’s all about how a person trains their dog. Luckily, there are countless stories online about pit bulls saving humans, and Bruce the pittie is among these heroic hounds. His human, Abby Leathers, chose the best name for her pooch, as her pittie was named after a comic book hero, Bruce Wayne.

But instead of fighting crime, Bruce the pittie saved an elderly woman by alerting Abby. Obviously, dogs can’t talk to us, but this doesn’t deter them from letting us know that something’s wrong. On that fateful day, Abby was enjoying a nice warm cup of tea, and Bruce was sitting in front of their window.

It seemed that the pooch’s curiosity was piqued by something or someone. At first, Abby didn’t mind Bruce. Doggos are curious creatures, so this was normal behavior. But later on, Bruce went to their front door and started crying. Abby explained that Bruce was being too loud, which was unusual.

Abby then became puzzled by her pup’s antics, so she decided to step out and investigate. As soon as Abby opened the door, Bruce darted out and ran towards the pond in front of their home. Abby followed him, and there, they found an elderly woman in the pond.

She was half-naked, wet, and cold. Abby helped her get out of the pond and covered her with a thick blanket from their home to warm her up. Abby called emergency services right away to get her medical attention. If it weren’t for Bruce, who knows what would’ve happened to the woman? Abby hopes that her pit bull’s heroics would help change the image of the loving breed.
