When Nicole Elliott heard the story of a senior dog that was close to death because of cancer was in need of a family, she felt like she was the only one who could fit this role. Hearing about how his life turned out broke Nicole’s heart, moving her to go to the shelter he was in immediately to sign his adoption papers.

Nicole was determined to give the pup named Chester the life he’s always deserved but never got. She couldn’t fathom the thought of Chester passing away without experiencing the things adopted dogs would regularly do.

Little is known about Chester’s origins but one thing was for sure: the pup was on the verge of dying. This was because the pup had developed cancer that posed to be life-threatening to his unfortunate demise. Tumors had grown in some parts of his body and his death seemed inevitable for veterinarians.

Before getting adopted by Nicole, it was heartbreaking for shelter workers to know that Chester could be going soon without having experienced much in life. But thankfully, this doesn’t have to be the case because Nicole was an angel that had come for Chester’s saving.

Knowing Chester’s health issues, Nicole knew she had the task of maximizing the time the pup had left. Letting Chester experience the things he has never experienced before seemed like the proper send-off for a good boy like him.

She wanted to spoil the pup in every way possible: letting him stick his head out the car window as they drove around, giving him a generous amount of treats, and allowing the pup to go on a shopping spree. Nicole didn’t pay any mind to how much these activities would cost because all that mattered to her was giving Chester a second chance at living life – even if his time would soon be cut short.
